What can you expect from a Lomi Lomi massage at Lomi Wai?
I work on the heated massage table with different warm organic oils according to your wishes.
You will experience long, endless, rhythmic strokes over the entire body, which I perform with my fingers, hands, and the soft, inner part of my forearms.
But individual body regions like the head, face, shoulders, back, arms, hands, legs, and feet are also intensively included and massaged.
The dynamics and the depth of touch in Lomi Lomi are variable. Stretching, joint work, and deep fascia massage can also be integrated.
Your massage is usually accompanied by music, preferably Hawaiian music. However, a massage in complete silence also has its charm. Let us find out what is right for you.
Lomi Lomi Massage at Lomi Wai in Stuttgart - Origin of Lomi
It is no wonder that Lomi Lomi originates from the Hawaiian Islands. Surrounded by the endless Pacific, shaped by a life in harmony with the rhythms and primal forces of nature, the flowing, carrying, enveloping, and protective qualities of this massage are understandable and it seems logical that this way of massaging and touching has been shown to the people of Hawaii.
Originally, the Lomi massage is a healing practice of Hawaiian families. It was also practiced as a ritual transitional ceremony for different occasions at sacred places.
Hawaiian families often had their own style that they passed down from generation to generation. This also explains why Lomi Lomi massage is performed in very different ways. (We Swabians know this principle of diversity well from our countless variations of Maultaschen. 😊 On the Hawaiian Islands and occasionally on the mainland, there is even a Lomi variation carried out with sticks and feet.
Here in Germany, the Hawaiian massage is mainly performed using fingers, hands, and forearms. And this is also how I give the massage.

Before the Lomi Lomi begins, there is an opportunity to exchange thoughts about your expectations for the massage and your concerns. Perhaps you have a theme on your mind, or you want to give more attention to a specific area of your body, or you simply want to gift yourself with a special, soothing, and relaxing massage experience.
Before the massage, you are very welcome to take a massage shower. I work on the heated massage table with plenty of warm oil, long, rhythmic, endless strokes over the entire body, which I perform with my fingers, hands, and the soft inner part of my forearms. Your head, hands, and feet are also intensely included. The dynamics and depth of the touches vary in our massage. Stretching, joint work, and deep fascia massage can also be incorporated.
This full-body massage evolves anew each time, depending on what we have discussed together in advance of the massage. Intuitively, I follow the script that your body and your essence dictate to me.
During the massage, you will be undressed. However, your intimate area is always covered with a cloth and will not be touched. If desired, I can, of course, provide disposable briefs. My massage room is very well heated.
During the massage, you will be accompanied by soft Hawaiian music that has a very calm and pleasant rhythm, complementing the massage here at Lomi Wai perfectly. Or do you prefer a completely different type of musical accompaniment, the sound of a Hawaiian beach, or pure silence?
At the end of the Lomi Lomi, I will stroke your arms, legs, and back with warm, moist towels. Afterwards, you will have ample time for integration, showering, and a concluding conversation.

I work with fingers, hands, elbows, or forearms. Perhaps I mobilize joints or incorporate elements from Lomi Lomi, classic massage work, or fascia massage.
I massage calmly or dynamically or both. I massage gently or powerfully or both. And sometimes I am completely still and let my hands linger quietly or supportively.
Your body is the script and guides me, just like what you shared with me at the start of the massage as themes or focal points.
Your massage could be accompanied by a wide range of different music styles. But it is also a rewarding experience to receive this wellness massage in complete silence. Let's find out what feels right for you.

I massage the whole body, but sometimes we focus on specific areas of your body. Certain areas like hands, feet, head, shoulders, back, or legs may require special attention.
It is a massage whose course I do not know myself.
My intuitive full-body massage unfolds in the moment and is unique.
I work with fingers, hands, elbows, or forearms. I might incorporate elements from Lomi Lomi massage, classic massage techniques, fascia massage, and joint mobilization.
I massage dynamically or calmly or both. I massage powerfully or gently. Or both. And sometimes I am completely still and let my hands linger quietly or supportively.

At the end of the massage, I have prepared warmed, moist towels with which I will remove the oil from your body and extremities. Afterwards, you will have enough time to reflect, shower, and have a concluding conversation.
